An Invitation from Bishop Edward J. Burns
THE CHURCH IS LISTENING
The Church seeks to examine how she can better lead young people to the Good News of Jesus today. To do so, Pope Francis is hosting a Synod and is gathering feedback from young people and ministry leaders from around the world to better understand how to respond. As support of this mission of the Holy Father, the Diocese of Dallas is collecting feedback this summer through a variety of mediums including a convocation and online surveys.
DIOCESE OF DALLAS 2017 CONVOCATION
A convocation of listening sessions will be hosted in July 27-29, 2017 at St. Rita Catholic Community. Catholic parishes, organizations, and other faith traditions will be invited to send a delegation. A Delegation Leader is to be selected from each community and will act as the point person for all convocation information and receive a password for the Delegation Leader Portal. Parish pastors also have access to this portion of the site.
feedback for francis: ONline surveys
In order to provide the Pope with a clear understanding of ministry and vocational discernment in the Diocese of Dallas, Catholic and non-Catholic youth, young adults, parents, ministry leaders and priests/religious/clergy are asked to complete a brief survey to measure their interaction and experience with ministry and vocational discernment with the Church in North Texas.
